Bangs and the bouncy seat are currently my obsessions this week.

Dominique cut my bangs yesterday. You guys know that I’ve been contemplating getting them for months now. After watching the Bachelor (don’t judge,) last week and seeing Rachel’s bangs- I had to have! Hers sealed the deal with me.

It’s crazy how such a minor change in your look can make you feel completely different. Don’t get me wrong I love myself I’ve never had any self esteem issues, however.these little bangs are a nice change. Me likey. Thanks Dom!

Now, onto our other new LOVE.

Zach’s jumperoo. We have the Baby Einstein activity seat, but this jumperoo can run circle around that thing. Zach definitely prefers to bounce rather than sit.

This morning, Zach literally bounced himself to sleep. TO SLEEP!

After 25 mns of non-stop bouncing, it was clear little Zach needed to take a much needed break.

My heart is melting.

After Z’s cat nap, he woke up and had some cereal and bananas! What a productive morning we’ve had.

Play. Sleep. Eat.

So far Zach’s only had sweet potatoes but today we had bananas. Y’all were right, meal time is messy, but super fun! And he loved the bananas.

Today we’re going to the Galleria to get me a purse do a little shopping. I’ve got my eyeballs on this Chloe bag but I think I want it in black. Rawrrrr….

My little peanut has been sneezing and coughing the past two days. I brought him to the pediatrician on Monday and she said unless he’s having trouble breathing, or gets a fever, there wasn’t a lot she could do. This morning, I had do pull out the nasal blowy thing that sucks out their boogies. Ugh. It was the worst. Who wants a pump stuck up your nose anyway? Poor cookie.

So it’s day two our painting project. It’s also 5:46 and these guys think they will be done tonight. I highly doubt it. They have so much more to cover. Leo and his three co-painters have been here since 8am. The upside is that they’ve finished the media room, upstairs hallways and Zach’s room. It came out beautiful. The new shade of blue I chose looks better than the lighter shade shade that was in our last house. Oh yes, it’s true. That nursery was hard to top though. I’m trying my hardest to make Zach’s new space just as special and cozy.

Remember his room in PA? I will always cherish this room and the memories we had in it.

Okay, off to inspect. These painters are good, but I’ve already found a couple of spots they missed. I’ll be damned if they leave tonight without touching them up.

Hiii friends-

I’m a nervous wreck today because our house getting painted. Like, 90% of it. I’ve never seen so much paint in my life.

dark paint + white rugs = DISASTER. These three amigos better make sure the carpet is 1,000% covered.

The awesome news is that Zach’s room is done, and I LOVE IT!!!

Here is the color palette I’m doing. Zach’s room is blue and brown, the downstairs accent wall where the fireplace is will be that deep brown (Iced Espresso.) The color next to it (right) is called River Mud and that’s going in the main room and foyer area. The grey is our media room color and is also the hallways and butlers pantry color. Hard to all these rooms will be done by tomorrow evening. I’ll post after pics. Our new sectional is being delivered Friday too. Everything is finally coming together and I couldn’t be happier.

I’m sick and little Zach is sneezing too. He seems to be fine though- acting normal, breathing is good, etc. I took him to the pediatrician yesterday and they said he might just have allergies. It must be the overprotective mother in me, but I was freaking out this morning bc of all the coughing he was doing last night. I called his pediatrician again and they said it may be allergies or just a cold and to just keep an eye on him. Oyyyy.

My mother-in-law is coming down to visit this weekend. I’m so excited for her to see Zach and our new house. Plus, she’ll be great company while Stu is at the Super Bowl. His birthday is next week and I have no idea what to get him. Not another video game, he has enough clothes, gift cards are so impersonal. Hmmm..any ideas?

It’s 73 here and I’m dying to get out for some air. I think maybe once Zach gets up from his nap, we’ll take a stroll.
