    Look what I received yesterday!

Birthday flowers from my mom. Aren’t they purdy? My birthday isn’t until tomorrow, but what the hell, I will gladly accept early birthday presents.

We don’t have a ton planned this weekend. I want to hit Whole Foods today and tonight I’m working at our church. We’ll probably go to the 4pm service and I’ll stay after to work the 5:45 service. Tonight Stu and I are going to Ocean Prime for my birthday dinner and then going to see “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” I’m dying to see it.

Tomorrow we are going to a local street festival and then coming home to play in the pool. Zach hasn’t been in it yet. We’ve just dipped his toes in the water. I got him a float with a canopy so I’m thinking we will bust that out and see how our little peanut does. Honestly, with Zach’s huge cork screw arms, he shouldn’t need anything to hold him up, hahaha. His arms ARE his floaties, haha.

PS- Zach likes Wendy Williams. I think it’s because she’s so animated and looks like a cartoon character.

"mommy, why is this lady so tall?"

Anyway- hope you guys have a great weekend.

Exercise: 60 mns elliptical, free weights- 10 lbs. Did a bunch of reps. Not like I need these weights. Holding a 22 lb. baby is just as good, if not better. Thank you for being such chubber Zach <3

Breakfast: English muffin toasted with Justin’s almond butter and sliced banana slices. Coffee too.

Lunch: 2 cups of citrus couscous from Eatzi’s. AMAZING. I chowed that in 3.2 seconds. I also had a small bowl of cherries.

mid-pm snack: carrots and edamame hummus.

Dinner: TGI Friday’s- I got the grilled chicken strawberry balsamic salad. Dressing on the side. Delish.

Dessert: cup of half caramel pretzel/birthday cake yogurt with sprinkles, cookie dough bites and graham cracker crumbles.

Zach and I had a long (but fun) day today. I’m so tired. Entertaining a 9 month old is hard work.

This morning we watched daddy on GBTV. Sprout, what?

After breakfast, we played with a few new toys. Zach’s attention span is getting shorter and shorter these days. He’s sick of the toys he has so I replaced them with a few new one’s. Zach loves anything that lights up and makes noise. After about an hour of playing, reading and singing, we went for a nice walk around the hood. It was so hot out. Ick. When we got home, I took a shower, changed Zach and then jumped in the car for our little bundles class. After 45 mns of playing with our friends, we went to Target, where I found this book. I’m not vegan but as I thumbed through it, I did spot some yummy looking recipes.

After Targs, we hit up the new Eatzi’s. Today was the grand opening. It was nuts in there. By the time we got home, Zach was more than ready for a nap. He slept from 2:30-4:30. In that time, I  did a load of laundry, threw out a ton of crap I didn’t need/want anymore, and cleaned up dog puke. Awesome. I have no idea which dog did it. They both looked guilty.

When Stu got home from work he wanted to go out to eat. So we did. TGI Friday’s it was. I LOVE their new strawberry chicken salad. Zach ate cheerios and Stu got a veggie burg. Dessert was frozen yogurt. Damn cookie dough bites get me every time.

Tomorrow I’m having lunch with my gf Sarah at this new place called The Mellow Mushroom. No plans for tomorrow night but on Saturday we’re going to a street festival in town and Saturday night we’re going out for my big birthday dinner. Sunday we will most likely hang by the pool and veg. Sounds like a good weekend to me.

    Any plans for you?

Hope you had a great day!

I found these pics on my computer. I guess my mom uploaded them from her camera. I forgot she took them. Zach was 4 months and we had just moved into our house down here.

    L.O.V.E.

pretty sure I was thinking to myself "I can't believe this is MY child. I am so lucky."

    Howdy! Happy Thursday-

Well, I’m down another Yankee Candle scent. Kitchen Spice has been burning pretty much non-stop for the past two weeks in our house. I went through two small jars. I love this scent, but after the continuous burning, I’m ready to move on. Hmm, what should I fire up next? What is your favorite YC smell? I normally burn by the seasons, and clearly, Kitchen Spice is more of a Fall scent. Don’t ask. Even I don’t know why I burned this one. Perhaps I’m catching up on lost time? If you recall, I couldn’t stand any smells, especially YC scents while I was pregnant. None whatsoever. I’m just now getting back into burning candles. Slowly but surely.

My birthday is this Sunday- yay! We’re going out to dinner Saturday night to celebrate how awesome I am. Honestly, the best birthday present I could ever get is something I already have: Zach. God has given me the most precious gift of all. In the words of Melissa Gorga: “thank you Jesus!” I’m looking forward to spending all weekend with my boys. Nothing better :0)

Happy Birthday to all the Taurus’ out there!

Zach and I are off to his little tykes class now. Hmm, wonder what new song and dance we’ll learning today.

    Have a great one
